    Description

    Here we grow again MacLeod Cares has 14 Long Term Care and Retirement Residents across the Maritimes, and we are looking to expand our team.

    As part of the HR team the Employee Learning and Development Manager (ELDM) will work collaboratively with the Home's multi-disciplinary teams to foster staff educational growth and development with the ultimate goal of improving the services provided to our residents and support to our employees. This role will be accountable for the following but not limited to, function:

    · To plan, deliver and track clinical training sessions for staff,

    · Evaluate competencies, develop learning plans to support employees in RPL programs, LPN Bridging Programs and IEN licensing processes.

    · Coordinate, monitor, and track all required mandatory training to ensure legislative and regulatory/licensure compliance.

    This position offers a hybrid work environment with travel across the Maritime Provinces required. This position requires an individual who is committed to service excellence and providing quality person centered care.

    Required Qualification

    · Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing required

    · Masters in Nursing/Health Care/Education preferred

    · Must be able to obtain license to practice in NS, NB, PEI

    · Minimum three years full-time clinical experience within last five years in Long Term Care preferred

    · Previous experience in education support, onboarding new staff, and transition to practice an asset

    · Recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor preferred

    · Adult Education Program an asset or willing to complete

    · Clear Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Records Check

    Additional Desired Qualifications

    · Previous teaching experience which involves designing, implementing, and evaluating traditional and non-traditional methods of instruction preferred.

    · Recent professional development relevant to maintaining currency in clinical practice and education.

    · Evidence of adult education theory & application and leadership development and/or experience.

    · Working knowledge of program development, implementation, and evaluation.

    · Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.

    · Demonstrated initiative and innovative problem solving.

    · Skilled in the facilitation of concept-based learning, collaborative learning, and practice development.

    · Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and computer documentation systems.
