General Accountability:


  • Reporting to the Manager Outreach and Diversity, the Early Talent Lead is responsible for planning, proposing and implementing effective, creative, resultsdriven Early Talent Acquisition strategies.
  • The Early Talent Lead will provide guidance to junior team members supporting the Early Talent program.
  • The incumbent will lead and advise workforce planning and targeted workforce development strategies for Early Talent programs and business priorities.
  • The Early Talent Lead will lead and support best practices as related to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and lead endtoend delivery of projects focused on early talent.
  • Duties include conducting discovery meetings with client departments to fully understand vacancy challenges, workforce requirements, succession plans, position requirements, reviewing job postings, sourcing, shortlisting and interviewing applicants and assessing and evaluating applicant's qualifications to determine their suitability for employment/placement and extending or assisting with the preparation of offers of employment when appropriate.

Key Job Functions:


  • Client relationship management with internal stakeholders:
  • Develop, maintain and improve Early Talent acquisition programs.
  • Evaluate the Early Talent programs and propose enhancements.
  • Oversee the endtoend recruitment processes for student programs.
  • Ensure processes are inclusive to align with TTC's current EDI guidelines.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas to improve.
  • Provide regular reporting to share insights, plans and progress to senior leadership team.
  • Manage recruitment processes and reporting for Early Talent programs:
  • Develop, maintain and improve Early Talent acquisition programs.
  • Evaluate the Early Talent programs and propose enhancements.
  • Oversee the endtoend recruitment processes for student programs.
  • Ensure processes are inclusive to align with TTC's current EDI guidelines.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas to improve.
  • Provide regular reporting to share insights, plans and progress to senior leadership team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with students.
  • Implement and improve campus recruitment operational processes to standardize and automate procedures.
  • Create an onboarding program to maintain the engagement of students.
  • Coordinate and manage the student experience including but not limited to: organizing and facilitating student orientation, facilitating training and hosting student events.
  • Develop and execute a campus recruitment strategy.
  • Create a plan to attract and hire top early career talent.
  • Identify target colleges and universities and programs relevant to the career paths at the TTC.
  • Develop relationships with postsecondary partners and specialized student associations to source diverse early career talent, to promote and educate the TTC employer value proposition to new graduates.
  • Align strategy with industry best practices.
  • Research and identify opportunities to build talent pathways.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with target postsecondary institutions career centers, faculty, student associations/clubs).
