Description
DUTIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine layout and assembly procedures
- Operate telehandlers, lifts and other onsite equipment
- Working from heights in all weather conditions
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of ironworkers and general laborers on the job site
- Plan and schedule daily tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives
- Always ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Provide onthejob training and guidance to inexperienced team members, promoting skill development and adherence to quality standards
- Visit job sites in advance of erection start date to create a plan for steel delivery and storage and equipment delivery and use
- Monitor work progress and productivity, addressing any issues or delays promptly and providing regular updates to management
- Overtime required: complete projects on time; work within deadlines
- Work with management to resolve technical issues and ensure project success
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and work areas to maintain safety and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, materials used, and work completed for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with senior management to ensure that all team members have up to date safety and training certificates in the required areas
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes positivity, teamwork, inclusiveness, and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 6 years as a Structural Ironworker, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Extensive knowledge of structural ironworking techniques, including rigging, steel erection, tool maintenance equipment handling
- Problem-Solving aptitude for identifying issues, analyzing root causes
- Adaptability flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements, timelines, and work conditions, while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- People person, ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and work at heights
- Current/active certification for CSTS and Fall Protection and other certifications as required
- Additional certification or education in construction management or a related field is a plus
- Strong ability to work with upper management, follow directives, and establish company protocols and procedures
- Friendly, courteous, respectful, and professional at all times
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

- Iron worker: 6 years (required)
- Supervisory: 2 years (required)
