    Job Overview

    Working under minimal supervision, the Solution Analyst will be part of our Digital Delivery Broker Experiences team and contributes to Wawanesa's success by designing, documenting, testing and supporting system solutions to meet business stakeholder requirements.

    The ideal candidate will enjoy working in an agile scrum team that facilitates rapid design, development and implementation of application changes that embodies a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development. You will have Analyst experience related to Business, Systems, and/or Quality and have technical proficiency with web applications. Preferably, you will also have knowledge/experience with Guidewire applications such as ProducerEngage and/or InsuranceSuite.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, design and documentation of both system and business requirements for application enhancements and projects.
  • Lead requirement sessions with business and system teams.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions to ensure quality software.
  • Create test cases based on requirements documentation and defect resolutions.
  • Communicate system solutions in business and technical terms.
  • Lead the resolution of both business requirements and system issues.
  • Follow established practices, processes and guidelines.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on current system standards and IS department established methodologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary degree/certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience performing systems or business analysis.
  • Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills for collecting data to analyze options.
  • Advanced attention to detail skills to produce deliverables that consider the areas involved.
  • Excellent communication skills to share information with others.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills to develop plans and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of agile practices, scrum, kanban and continuous delivery.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, along with SQL is considered an asset.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Splunk is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in insurance industry is considered an asset.
