- Reviewing journal entries and work involving the calculation and booking of allocations within the NPKC business units, including interdepartmental and inter-entity allocations.
- Coordinating and reviewing journal entries for period end close accruals, prepaids, reversals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborating with other teams to gather necessary information for accruals/prepaids.
- Overseeing monthly closing activities for the NPKC business units, including balance sheet reconciliations, allocations, and journal entries.
- Managing the closing process within the ERP systems with the outsource team.
- Conducting trial balance reviews and variance analysis of Prepaid Expenses and Accruals during month end close tasks.
- Performing intercompany and intersystem analysis for Allocations crossing Legal entities and ERPs.
- Support in transitioning tasks from other areas to RTR (Record to Report).
- Developing, implementing, and calculating Allocation methodologies and engaging with stakeholders.
- Upholding Allocation and Period End Close governance protocols and policies in collaboration with the Supervisor.
- Assisting in ongoing initiatives and projects as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a reputable institution or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with Financial Statement preparation expertise being advantageous.
- Preferably, experience in a finance-related role (accounting designation holders preferred).
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems like SAP and Oracle, as well as Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to grasp multiple processes and provide support across various roles.
- Exceptional prioritization and organizational abilities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Mindset oriented towards process improvement.
- Knowledge in the agriculture sector viewed as a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with accounting principles; experience with IFRS considered beneficial.
