    Description
    Basic Qualifications:
    A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:

    Training Specialization:
    Secondary Education with a major/minor in EnglishRelated Teaching Experience:
    Recent successful experience teaching English and Career Education at the secondary level and implementing adaptations through differentiated instruction

    A Reasonable Expectation:
    based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff

    Additional Qualifications:
    Two or more courses at the 300 or 400 level in English Other:

    The focus of the program at McNaughton Centre is to foster positive relationships and support students in academic and social goals It is important that the successful candidate be willing to collaborate and be part of a team that is creative and supportive in achieving student success The starting annual salary for this full-time temporary Secondary Alternate Teacher ranges from $59,394 to $106,217 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
