Job Opportunity
Do you enjoy mentoring volunteer camp counsellors as they guide their campers aged years of age through a number of varied outdoor adventures? Do you enjoy canoeing, archery, cookouts, swimming and hiking to better appreciate the world of nature?


If so, FortWhyte Alive is looking for four (4) enthusiastic individuals to work as Head Counsellors for the 2023 July and August summer camp season.


What you will do
Head Counsellors work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm in the many camps we offer at FortWhyte.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Attending all day camp training sessions to prepare you for your role;
  • Assist with program set up/closing activities;
  • Guide children through a safe and fun daily program;
  • Mentor your Head Counsellor in Training giving them the opportunity to observe and learn camp programming;
  • Assist your Section Coordinator with daytoday concerns, scheduling changes, emergencies and other situations that may arise.
