    Description

    Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Gas Fitter B or Gas Fitter Helper to join our team as a Propane Service Technician on a permanent basis in Winnipeg, MB.

    We are looking for a safety-minded individual to join our propane team We offer consistent working hours, benefits, pension, paid time off, and a work area that will have you home every night.

    What you'll do:

    • Present a positive image in customer service while leading or assisting in installing propane tank systems and related equipment for various local customers.
    • Lead or assist with scheduled inspections for customer tanks, filling plants, and service trucks, and assess potential hazards and report as required.
    • Operate a crane truck while following applicable standards during rigging, loading, securing, and transporting of tanks and other equipment.
    • Adhere to all standard work procedures/policies, industry codes, and regulations, with a high standard of safety in all operations.

    Who you'll work with:

    The Team: You will work with other service technicians and propane drivers and will report to the Propane Service Department Supervisor on a team that strives for a culture of customer service, safety, and work life balance.

    The Customers: You will install equipment for and support customers in agricultural, commercial, and domestic markets while displaying a high-level of customer-focus, professionalism, and care.

    Who you are:

    • Preference for a Gas Fitter B license. We are willing to accept no license and provide training for the right individual.
    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Have or willing to obtain a Class 3A license.
    • Are comfortable with physically demanding work such as pulling heavy hose equipment, moving cylinder tanks and other equipment with a minimum weight of 50lbs.
    • Are able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
