About the job:

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Writer, to join the team on
the contract basis. This is hourly based work, and the current expected workload is 10-20h per week.

This position could be
fully remotely, being on-site in our Mississauga office as needed.


About you:

You want to work in a small team solving a big problem. You are excited by the prospect of revolutionizing multiple industries. You can juggle many tasks simultaneously. You are detail-oriented and love asking why many times till you understand something from first principles.


You have a successful track record of creating and maintaining clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation for medical device for a small to midsize company and appreciate the difference between quality requirements for different sizes of companies.


What you'll do

  • Create, update, and maintain technical documents for Trexo devices. These may include customerfacing documents such as user manuals, installation guides, and maintenance manuals, as well as internal documents like work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams, such as engineering, marketing, and customer success, to gather technical information and convert it into userfriendly documentation.
  • Ensure clarity, conciseness, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all internal and external documentation.
  • Coordinate the translation of documentation for international markets.
  • Adapt documentation style and formatting to suit various audiences, including regulatory agencies, customers, or production employee.
  • Manage version control of documentation.
  • Conduct reviews of documentation drafts with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate revisions as needed.
  • Create and maintain a documentation style guide and templates for internal use.

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years as a technical writer, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Notion, and other relevant documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines for medical device documentation (e.g., FDA regulations, ISO standards) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining highquality deliverables.
