    Description
    Trexo Robotics (Y Combinator Company) is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots.

    Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and it allows kids to walk, in many cases, for the first time in their lives.

    We are constantly working towards building mobility solutions for all. We envision a future where robots can be used to help people of all ages and abilities. We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Writer, to join the team on the contract basis . This position could be fully remotely , being on-site in our Mississauga office as needed.

    You have a successful track record of creating and maintaining clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation for medical device for a small to midsize company and appreciate the difference between quality requirements for different sizes of companies.

    Create, update, and maintain technical documents for Trexo devices.

    These may include customer-facing documents such as user manuals, installation guides, and maintenance manuals, as well as internal documents like work instructions and standard operating procedures.

    Collaborate closely with various teams, such as engineering, marketing, and customer success, to gather technical information and convert it into user-friendly documentation.

    Coordinate the translation of documentation for international markets.
    Adapt documentation style and formatting to suit various audiences, including regulatory agencies, customers, or production employee.
    Manage version control of documentation.
    Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
    Proven experience of at least 2 years as a technical writer, preferably in the medical device industry.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines for medical device documentation (e.g., Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
