    Description

    JOB STATEMENT :

    The Infrastructure and Systems Analyst position is responsible for development, implementation, and support of existing network computing services, specifically network applications and operating systems, to ensure an efficient and effective network computing environment. They will assist team members with support, maintenance and optimization of core network services, devices, and communications systems. They will work alongside other Infrastructure team members to provide logistical support, respond to queries, document changes, and assist with testing, assessment, diagnosis and resolution of network service outages and incidents. They will maintain network systems and may configure devices, enable services or respond to end user requests for third level support. The Infrastructure and Systems Analyst participates in informal and formal learning opportunities and may travel on an as needed basis.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Manage and maintain both on-premises, and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security based on industry accepted best practices;
    • Performing diagnostics of infrastructure issues, provides third level support for helpdesk desk staff and other members of the team;
    • Planning, scheduling, testing, and implementing infrastructure changes including but not limited to cloud-based migrations;
    • Identifying computing service opportunities and creatively applying infrastructure computing solutions and technologies to address client business needs;
    • Updating and maintaining infrastructure documentation;
    • Provides "ownership" of problems through final resolution;
    • Initiating, scheduling, and coordinating required work activities with internal and external parties;
    • Developing and maintaining service measurements for computing systems and services;
    • Providing prompt support for service requests;
    • Apply and ensure compliance with all appropriate IT standards (Security, Architecture, Project Delivery Methodology);
    • Mentoring and training internal resources; and
    • Providing training, technical assistance and support to internal and external clients.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • University degree, college diploma or relevant working experience
    • MSCE/VCP/A+ certifications an asset
    • Microsoft Azure certification or other cloud-based certifications an asset
    • At least 5 years of progressive network computing experience
    • Strong working knowledge and experience in developing and implementing advanced network computing applications and solutions (Microsoft Exchange, VSphere, SharePoint, SQL, Remote Access, Backup Exec, IIS, Apache, SAN, NAS, Veeam, Windows Server, Active Directory)
    • Working knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and implementing Cisco networks – SSLVPNs, firewalls, Voice/Data
    • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Server Applications and Operating Systems, Cisco data/voice networks and firewalls, virtualization (VMware preferred) and SAN/NAS, Netapp Storage
    • Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell scripting
    • Extensive expertise in Azure services and technologies, demonstrating your proficiency
    • Ability to manage and maintain MDM solutions
    • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply skills involving complex products or services
    • Knowledgeable and proficient with related Desktop and Server based software/architecture
    • Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) to communicate effectively with both highly-technical and non-technical users
    • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
    • Well organized with sound time management skills
    • Possesses a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction
    • Dedicated to maintaining high efficiency and quality
    • Ability to learn and embrace new technologies with an open mind while keeping up with the pace of the changing world of technology and adapt and respond to rapidly changing situations
    • Requires occasional overtime on weeknights and weekends
    • Requires carrying a mobile and providing 24 x 7 support
    • Some travel to regional branch offices may be required
