We are currently seeking to add Heavy Equipment Operators to our team.

Varies according to the nature of the project.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy equipment, including excavators and dozers. This position requires direct experience in earthworks projects, oilfield waste management, remediation/reclamation, or oilfield construction.
Tasks
- Safe and effective operation of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, and associated attachments.
- Perform preventative maintenance and daily operation checks.
- Execute a variety of projects to the specifications of the customer, under the guidance of the site supervisor and project manager.
- Effectively collaborate with crew and customers to ensure mutually agreeable outcomes and resolving conflicts.
- Act independently with mínimal supervision.
- Perform general labour tasks as required.
- Safely work and travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, and isolated locations via various means of transportation.
- Commit to working safely and following all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Direct experience in earthworks projects, oilfield waste management, pipeline integrity digs, demolition, reclamation/remediation, civil construction, and/or oilfield construction.
- 3 years or 5,000 hours of experience in heavy equipment operation on excavators, dozers, rock trucks, etc.
- Landfill construction experience is desired.
- GPS Dozer experience is considered an asset.
- Finishing experience is considered an asset.
- Possession of a class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
- Possession of valid safety tickets (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS, and Ground Disturbance).
- Availability to work on a 21/7 or 14/4 work schedule.
- Intermediate computer skills to successfully utilize intranet resources, complete online safety orientations, and complete HR onboarding tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
