SUMMARY:


Develop and administer the Oakville skills development plan for employees in Operations to ensure we are able to effectively determine the competence of our employees as noted in AS9100D section 7, and to drive the skills development within our CORE Operating System with local leaders.

Responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Creates materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance training process effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include ownership of the On the Job training (OJT) process, standardizing the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) tool for the Oakville site, identifying and executing on future training program needs, and serving as the Learning Administrator in Workday Learning for the Oakville site.


This position is On-site role

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with all Leaders across the Oakville Operations team to ensure TNA's are actively being used and are up to date
  • Work together with the Continuous Improvement Manager and CI Specialists to integrate the skills development curriculum into the execution of CORE.
  • Work with Operations Managers/Supervisors to ensure OJT packages are prepared properly and deployed for future hires.
  • Ensure that historical records for all existing employees have the required OJT's either initiated or are being completed and archived for record retention as per Customer/Regulatory requirements
  • Work with all leaders in Operations/Materials Management/Technical Operations/Quality/CI & Engineering/Supply Chain/HR to determine any gaps related to training and develop a go forward plan to eliminate the gaps and provide continual feedback to senior leadership
  • Manage training across the Operations team in the Workday Learning LMS
  • Create new employee training profiles with course requirements
  • Create Curriculums, Job codes & Assignment profiles with training requirements either directly into an employee profile based on specific criteria's or assign when required
  • Upload sitespecific online courses and assign as required
  • Produce planning report to determine Learning Needs for each year for appropriate scheduling
  • Ensure that programs are delivered on time and according to internal timelines
  • Work with department managers and company leadership to determine when to schedule training sessions and programs
  • Maintain departmental training matrixes as required on the site, along with copies of market feedback analyses, attendance lists, course materials and training forms
  • Provide monthly training status reports to site leadership to communicate training gaps, progression, and support required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Experience with instruction or training highly preferred
  • Experience in Workday Learning or an equivalent Learning Management System (LMS) preferred
  • Experience with SAP TEM preferred
  • Strong planning, organization and Customer Service skills
