Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a

Chemistry Technician for method set up, reagent and sample preparation, recording data and operation of analytical instruments and wet chemical techniques. This position is a 6 month contract, and depending on performance, may lead to full time opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products
Operation of equipment like pH, HPLC, UVvisible spectrophotometers, ovens, furnaces, incubators, titrators
Prepare the reagents, standard solution and ensure standardization of solutions
Handling and storage all chemicals as per the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
Performing the calibration of measuring devices
Performance of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests and analysis of other substances as per standard method
Involvement in site and field testing with various international standards or inhouse procedures
Ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 and GMP requirements
General maintenance, cleaning and checking of equipment
Working to all HSE standards
Willing to assist in other activities from time to time that may be requested by the department manager

Skills / Qualifications:

Diploma / degree in chemistry
Have the ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working hours (night / day / weekend) shifts if required or necessary
Good English communication skills: reading, writing, speaking
Solid math and spreadsheet skills, ability to perform accurate calculations
Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory
