ABOUT US:

WHAT YOU DO:

As an experienced Superintendent, you will run civil projects from planning to completion and ensure the smooth function of the day-to-day operations.

You thrive on leading projects and delivering them on-time and within budget by focusing on cost, safety, quality, and management.

Essential Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, initiate, direct, and control civil construction projects from start to finish according to plans and schedule to ensure timelines, specifications and budget are met.
Ensures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications and design drawings while ensuring that high quality standards are maintained.
Develops, maintains and drives the construction schedule in conjunction with the project team; ensures project milestones and completion dates are met.
Strategically plan and implement manpower levels, material quantities and ensures proper equipment is available as required.
Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent for Development.
Coordinates suppliers, material and equipment, scheduling, managing performance, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and managing progress, ensuring work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Schedule testing with consultant, municipality, and contractors.
Assumes a leadership role and provides guidance to project team members.
Supervises employees and subcontractors to achieve all required project deliverables.
Prepares project report daily to accurately track progress, site events, inspections and other relevant information and issue project schedules to subcontractors.
Track, communicate and coordinate RFI's, SI's and drawing changes.
Submits accurate timesheets for civil team using project software.
Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors, and staff.
Assist in budgeting for project.

WHO YOU ARE:

A minimum of 4 years' experience a Civil Superintendent or similar role and in buildout construction.
Proven leadership skills: ability to guide staff in high pressure and fast paced work environments while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget.
Knowledge of alternative civil methods plowing and trenching.
Capable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Working knowledge of local safety and health guidelines for construction job sites.
Indepth understanding of construction operations, processes, and drawings.
Proficiency with MS Office primarily word, excel and outlook.
A strong work ethic, driven and results focused.
Degree in Engineering, construction management or similar field considered an asset.
Familiarity with CAD, Jonas, and GPS Survey is a plus.
