Del Management Solutions Inc. is currently seeking for a Property Accountant to join our accounting team. The Property Accountant works under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of Residential, Non Profit properties for our clients. He or she is responsible to meet all contractual obligations and deliverables as well as achieving or exceeding the company's key performance indicator targets.

As a member of the finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of Residential properties,
• Prepare monthly financial statements (including Balance Sheet, Income Statement and supporting schedules) ensuring that deadlines are met,
• Identify and analyze budget variance
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliation
• Review cash position ensuring cash infusion from clients would be necessary
• Analysis of A/R & A/P and preparation of detailed account reconciliations
• Coordinate and participate in the preparation of annual operating budgets
• Prepare year end audit working papers
• Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

• 3-5 years experience in an accounting position preferably in the Sr.Property Management industry – Non Profit Residential experience is an asset –
• Detail oriented
• Able to manage time effectively
• Experience in Non-Profit Housing is an asset
• Mandatory software skills: PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, Outlook and Yardi.
• Solid Analytical Strengths. Ability to apply logic and reasoning to analyze complex financial, legal and contractual problems and to provide solutions or recommendations,
• Enrolled in CGA/CMA is an asset
• Reliable and punctual with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
