We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Corporate Engineering team. Director of Operations Capital Implementation. This role will lead various projects at our manufacturing facilities throughout the GAF organization.
    Analyze all facets of proposed projects and provide detailed cost, schedule, and justificationestimatestosupportcapitalexpenditures.
    Conduct engineering and project analysis and follow through with major and minor project recommendations, justification and implementation.

    Manage all aspects of major projects including design construction, vendor management, cost tracking, operational interfaces and operations preparation, and startup.

    Lead/participate in cross-functional corporate and plant teams investigating opportunitiestoimproveandexpandGAF'sprocessesandproducts,andbusiness opportunities

    Coordinate between contractors, vendors, and GAF to manage, engineer, and implement projects in the smoothest and most efficient manner without causing production delays or upsets.

    Technical Skills
    Working proficiency using root cause analysis and Kepner-Trego or other structured methods to troubleshoot and solve problems
    Advanced ability to translate technical data into a format/language suitable for operations and maintenance personnel

    Demonstrated leadership in terms of capital project planning, development, and execution including conceptual design, detailed design, construction and installation coordination, technical training, and turnover, start-up support, and sustained ownership.

    Demonstrated experience in hiring/training/coaching employees and performance management
    Knowledge of/experience with manufacturing analysis tools, such as statistical analysis/statistical process control (SPC), process capability studies, lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
    Advancedorganizationalskillsandattentiontodetail-abletoplan,execute,and control multiple tasks simultaneously

    A BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical with Mechanical preferred) coupled with a minimum of 7 years project management experience.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven background in managing projects with budgets of $100K - $20MM.
    5 years in a roofing/building products manufacturing organization - (preferred)
    Thorough knowledge and experience with computers and Gsuite/MSOffice. Drafting experience with CAD, preferably Autodesk products, is preferred.
    The preferred location for the position is remote, located within one hour of a large or major airport.
