- Participate in the definition of the client's needs and propose optimal solutions;
- Participate in design reviews with different departments;
- Make recommendations to the engineers in charge of functions;
- Develop connection diagrams according to the requirements of its functional block;
- Write engineering notes in accordance with information quality criteria (quality, standards respected, compliance with procedures, clarity);
- Participate in the design of panels and harnesses;
- Develop concepts taking into account current and future variable configurations with analysts and systems engineers;
- Validate the functional aspect of the design in prototyping and on the assembly line;
- Participate in the development of the company's technical standards;
- Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and present work plans;
- Document from a technical perspective the processes used to promote knowledge transfer and retention.
- Hold a DEC in electrical engineering or other relevant discipline;
- More than 3 years of experience in product development and systems integration in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in PCB design;
- Relevant experience in manufacturing as an electrical designer;
- Experience with electrical schematic software (EPLAN, Saber Harness an asset);
- Excellent mastery in automation of work tools (advanced Excel);
- Enjoys working in the field of product development;
- Is mobile for short, medium or long trips;
