- Analyze ledger entries.
- Verify expense reports and supporting receipts or other documentation.
- Verify and analyze bank statements.
- Develop strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing to ensure the best ROE.
- Prepare budgeting reports by collecting data from various departments within the organisation.
- Rectify discrepancies & perform month-end activities, including journal entries & reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Research material costs to ensure accuracy of information in the company's accounting system.
- Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- A bachelors degree in finance or commerce with a specialisation in accountancy.
- 3+ years of experience in the accountancy field or an equivalent role.
- Current enrolled as CPA or pursuing a path towards certification.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and well-acquainted with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently or within a team and show initiative.
