Description

The Night Auditor/Guest service agent will assist each of our guests in a friendly, efficient, professional manner in all Guest service related functions. To maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.
*Responsible for rooms audit and balancing the day transactions

  • Full-Time 11:00pm 7:00am
  • Reset and backing up of point of sale system.
  • Prepare Daily Statistics report and all other internal reconciliation reports
  • Know cash handling procedures and the posting of charges
  • Responsible for checking in/out hotel guests and other duties
  • Work with the hotel's property management system (FOSSE), electronic key system (SAFLOK), credit card/debit card terminals.
*Use of Computers, prepare excel worksheets and accounting forms.

  • Answer all telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Understand and use message handling procedures including wake up calls
  • Safety and emergency procedures. Act as the hotel emergency coordinator when on duty.
*Effectively handle guest complaints and solve problems
*Confirm method of payment, billings and deposits.

  • Register guests and assign rooms, making every effort to accommodate special requests.
  • Assist in preregistration and blocking reservations.
  • Knowledge of local market to assist guests
  • Handle safe deposit boxes in accordance with procedures.
*Follow Marriott Standard operating procedures

  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Self-motivated, friendly, upbeat, and outgoing person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent Interpersonal, communication and organizational Skills
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and arithmetic functions.
Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc.
Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience mandatory.
Detail orientated and able to handle several tasks simultaneously.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
Proven ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Previous Switchboard and related Hotel/Resort experience preferred

Ability to work overnight shifts 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

First Aid Certificate (preferred)

Must be open to on-line e-learning methods of training, in addition to the property specific training provided.

As a Night Auditor the duties of a Front Desk Agent are required


Job Types:
Fulltime, Permanent

Part-time hours: 40 hours per week

$19.00/hour
