Your opportunity:


Additional responsibilities include, providing technical support for or moderation of complex hybrid events such as breakout rooms, webinar Q&As, and live surveys; setting-up and staffing meetings, classes and events; providing program support; collecting and tracking metrics.


This role may require some travel within the city for in-person events as well as working occasional evenings and weekends.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling daytoday project activities
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
  • Acting as the first point of contact for eventrelated enquiries
  • Coordinating the schedule for program and event calendars
  • Coordinating event logistics (catering, AV, room bookings, etc.)
  • Verifying details and necessary changes to event schedule
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Drafting internal and external communications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in marketing, outreach, community development, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years recent experience related to program and event planning, or community development and outreach.
  • Experience working across sectors, including community organizations, notforprofits, local and provincial governments, and private enterprise.
  • Experience delivering highquality and highimpact, seminars, workshops, conferences (inperson and virtual).
  • Advanced experience hosting events with communications tools such as Zoom and MS Teams.
  • Demonstrated high degree of diplomacy and tact, and ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Forms) and collaboration tools (Asana, Monday, Github, Trello, etc.); familiarity with web content management systems, and communications tools (MailChimp).
