The bigger picture


We're looking for a experienced leader to come on board as our Director, Financial Performance at our Head Office located in Regina.

In this role, you will lead the Financial Performance Management Department to contribute to the appropriate financial management of the credit union by supporting the budgeting, financial analysis, capital management, and profitability planning and control.

Additionally, you will provide support and add value to stakeholders in the corporate budget, financial analysis, capital plan and profitability processes.


How you'll be spending your time

  • Overseeing, leading and directing the consolidated corporate annual budget and forecasting process, which includes quarterly rolling budget and forecast as well as delivering the annual budget package to the Executive Leadership Team, while ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy.
  • Overseeing the procurement, development, testing, implementation and ongoing upgrading and maintenance of corporate budgeting, profitability, and financial analysis processes and systems, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic needs
  • Overseeing and leading the development, maintenance and management of profitability analysis and reporting across various organizational levels. (including branch, product, customer profitability, projects, investments) to conduct costbenefit analysis in support of key decisions and initiatives.
  • Overseeing and leading the development and delivery of adhoc profitability and financial analysis (e.g. support financial analysis for business cases).
  • Overseeing and leading the development and maintenance of the enterprise capital management plan and processes, including oversight and direction of capital allocation based on risk and performance for the credit union. Additionally, maintaining and communicating financial sustainability metrics to support the longterm sustainability of the credit union.
  • Recruiting, developing, coaching, empowering and leading a team of Financial Performance Analysts.

The way people describe you

The experience you bring

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a complex financial environment.
  • Completion of professional Accounting designation (CFA,CPA) or MBA in the Finance field of study.
  • Expert knowledge and experience to coach Senior Budgeting Analysts and System Architects, Corporate Finance Analysis (refer to specific profiles for technical accreditation when knowledge gaps exist).

Salary Range:

$103,720 - $148,170 with 18% Short Term Incentive Target
