Our team is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze complex datasets, develop statistical models, and offer valuable insights to guide data-informed decision-making. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams, design experiments, and create innovative solutions using advanced analytics techniques and machine learning algorithms. As a mentor, you will guide junior team members towards delivering exceptional results.

    • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns and trends that enhance decision-making and business performance.
    • Create predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical models to address intricate business challenges.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
    • Execute experiments to validate models and hypotheses.
    • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and data mining algorithms to extract actionable insights from structured and unstructured data.
    • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing systems.
    • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics.
    • Lead projects from conception to implementation with a focus on delivery and Agile methodologies.
    • Collaborate with the Enterprise Analytics team to incorporate new practices and technologies.
    • Act as the primary resource for Business Data Science inquiries at McKesson Canada.

    Position Requirements

    • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in developing and applying advanced analytics in a corporate setting.
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; Master's or PhD preferred.
    • Proven track record as a Data Scientist addressing complex business challenges with data-driven solutions.
    • Expertise in building and deploying AI/Machine Learning solutions at scale.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
    • Strong understanding of statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data mining methods.
    • Familiarity with various analytical techniques such as clustering, regression analysis, NLP, neural networks, etc.
    • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.
    • Proficient in SQL, relational databases, data visualization tools, and Excel modeling.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytic, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is advantageous.
    • Bilingual in French and English.
