- Coordinating and implementing infection prevention and control practices for the home;
- Leading infection surveillance programs and managing outbreaks;
- Providing staff education on infection prevention;
- Maintaining vaccination records and ensuring compliance with guidelines;
- Developing and delivering training programs;
- Identifying safety hazards and providing expert guidance on facility design;
- Implementing changes mandated by regulatory agencies;
- Monitoring staff compliance with infection prevention guidelines and reporting to committees;
- Analyzing infection trends and evaluating prevention strategies;
- Leading vaccination campaigns and outbreak response efforts;
- Conducting research to develop best practices.
- RN/RPN degree or diploma;
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field;
- Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC);
- 3 to 5 years of infection control experience;
- Experience in long-term care and knowledge of relevant legislation;
- Proficiency in resident care practices, microbiology, epidemiology, and outbreak response.

Southbridge Care Homes are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention and Control Leader to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
Reporting to the Regional IPAC Specialist, the IPAC Lead will drive system-wide improvements in infection prevention, acting as a resident safety expert and role model for the IPAC program's goals within Southbridge's vision.
