      Job Description

      As the Manager, Assurance and Advisory (A&A), you will lead or support audit engagements from start to finish, collaborating with internal partners to reinforce risk and control practices. You'll play a crucial role in providing valuable recommendations on CPP Investments' key initiatives, bring technical expertise to drive strategic goals, and elevate the importance of A&A within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

      • Contributing to A&A's annual planning and developing the Annual Assurance and Advisory Plan
      • Defining objectives and scope of engagements in line with the Annual Plan
      • Identifying control weaknesses, suggesting improvements, and drafting audit reports
      • Offering advisory services while maintaining credibility and meeting management expectations
      • Providing guidance to junior auditors to ensure quality deliverables
      • Ensuring engagements adhere to corporate and industry audit standards
      • Developing valuable recommendations and building strong relationships with stakeholders

        • Qualifications

        Education & Professional Certifications:

        • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field; postgraduate degree is a plus
        • Professional designations like CPA, CFA, CISA, CIA, CBV, etc., are preferred

          • Professional Experience:

          • Progressive experience in Internal/External Audit, Technology, Data Analytics, and/or Risk Management
          • Knowledge of investment and asset management operations and associated risks
          • Understanding of audit methodologies, project management, and risk practices in financial services

            • Personal Competencies:

            • Self-motivated team player with great communication skills
            • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
            • Capability to build professional relationships and influence effectively
            • Organizational and project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines
            • Keenness to learn about investment trends and organizational developments
            • Alignment with guiding principles of integrity, high performance, and partnership
