    Description

    Our client is seeking a qualified and competent Specialist Otolaryngologist with particular expertise in head and neck surgery to augment their medical team.

    Our client operates a thriving healthcare network serving a broad population of over 425,000 across a diverse geographic region that includes both rural and urban communities.

    They stand as a key pillar of community health, managing five hospitals, two continued care facilities and community based services.

    Emphasis is placed on fostering a vibrant multi-ethnic working environment, with employees representing over 50 different nationalities.


    This pivotal role calls for a Specialist ENT Surgeon to contribute to the ENT department at a leading general hospital.

    As a tertiary referral centre for the central North Island, the department maintains strong links with the University of Auckland Medical School and offers promising opportunities for engagement in research as well as undergraduate and post-graduate teaching.

    Participating in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, pre-theatre assessments, operation lists, and multi-disciplinary meetings

    Ideal candidates should hold FRACS or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for Vocational Registration in ENT Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

    additional expertise in head and neck surgery is highly desirable, along with the readiness to conduct outpatient clinics at one or more of the peripheral hospitals within the district and participate in an on-call roster.
