MISSION


A Shipper/Reciever Works effectively and efficiently in a dispatch and warehouse environment to schedule shipping and freight operations, including developing a working knowledge of warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation.

Works with the shipping and warehouse teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The duties and responsibilities include.

  • Print daily sales receipts and crosscheck them with computer software to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs
  • Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped
  • Ensure proper postage to each package in preparation for shipping
  • Track inventory and report any shortages to the sales team so we can update the website
  • Process orders based on the buyer's preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
  • Contact the carrier and schedule shipping for each package
  • Communicates with other stockroom personnel about organization practices and picker technology
  • Problem solves for customers and suppliers about shipping routes, delayed items, and rush orders
  • Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements:


  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills that are normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, understand, and precisely follow detailed written instructions, specifications, and drawings.
  • Ability to concentrate on what is being done for extensive periods of time.
  • Selfmotivated and a good team member.
  • Manual dexterity in operating machinery and computers.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
  • Ability to stand up to 90% of the time.

Experience:


  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1+ years experience in retail or ecommerce.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Capable of working a consistent schedule.

Overall Working Conditions:

Conditions are consistent with other similar manufacturing environments. Work involves prolonged standing and frequent lifting of products and materials up to 50 lbs. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to safety (steel toe) boots. Loose-fitting clothes, shorts pants, sleeveless shirts, and jewelry are not allowed.
