    Job Summary:

    The Student Academic Affairs department invites applications for the Manager, Administration role for a one-year term.

    The Manager is responsible for supporting the initiatives, programs, and overall operations of the department, ensuring that the success of students remains a primary focus.

    The Manager provides leadership and direction to the Administrative Assistants and supports the Directors with operational duties, including employee tracking, budget monitoring, and analytic and statistic reporting. In addition, the incumbent provides technical expertise for the digital assets used to support operations (e.g. appointment schedule, student engagement, and programming).

    The Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of the operations and administrative functions within the department.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Three (3) years of related work experience in a post-secondary environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Familiar with public post-secondary institution processes, procedures, and protocols, along with knowledge and experience of data management in a post- secondary environment preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Banner; and the ability to edit and maintain a content management system.
  • Advanced experience with configuring and formatting an appointment management software program, such as Achieve Management software, and the ability to troubleshoot systems.
  • Understanding of the business needs and the ability to translate them into system and operational requirement.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills, delivered in a manner appropriate to the audience.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage multiple projects and priorities, maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to model appropriate professional, ethical and collaborative behaviors that engender collaboration, trust, and respect consistent with the responsibilities of this position.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse populations and professional accountability with a solid understanding of ethical guidelines and FOIPPA regulations.
