Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

In collaboration with the Manager, Diagnostic Services and the Educational Coordinator, the incumbent is primarily responsible for teaching, monitoring, and evaluation of the clinical skills of Ultrasound students. The incumbent also assists in the scheduling of the students' clinical rotations and ensuring the students obtain as much practical scanning experience as possible, and for providing timely oral and written student progress reports. Functions in the capacity of a general duty sonographer when not scheduled with students in order to maintain existing scanning skills and learn new techniques.
