    Description

    Our client in Hamilton is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Finance Director . You'll be working closely with the CFO to lead the finance department and ensure precise financial reporting and analysis. The role involves overseeing accounting processes, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and meeting profit objectives. You'll enjoy a hybrid work setup with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervising all finance and accounting functions to support the team effectively
    • Leading the production of accurate monthly financial statements for analysis
    • Establishing and executing efficient accounting and internal control policies
    • Contributing to strategic planning
    • Managing year-end closing and external reviews
    • Being the primary contact for CRA and external auditors
    • Overseeing audits, tax reviews, and system upgrades
    • Acting as Project Manager for system implementations
    • Performing additional duties for organizational success

    Requirements:

    • Finance/Accounting Bachelor's Degree and CPA designation required
    • At least 5 years of financial leadership experience
    • Proficiency in systems crucial, with previous system implementation expertise
    • Familiarity with SAGE/ACCPAC preferred
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
    • Hybrid work setting: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
