The Role of a Registered Nurse:
This is a casual opportunity, meaning hours are not guaranteed and may vary with shifts on short notice. Casual employees can apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions. Many Interior Health professionals start as casual employees and move to regular employment.
Starting from April 1, 2024, the hourly wage will range from $41.42 to $55.91 for this position.
About the Location/Unit:
Our department comprises 14 beds, including general treatment bays, monitored beds, trauma bays, a negative pressure room, and a secure room.
The Emergency department caters to around 26,000 visits annually, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like a Space Labs Cardiac Monitoring System and a Procedural Cart System. These systems are designed for multi-purpose use, bringing essential services directly to the patient.
