    Description
    Chocolatier/Kitchen Manager

    Overview:

    the position Chocolatier/Kitchen Manager is to facilitate the production of chocolate and confection in the shop and take the lead on ensuring all fillings and confections are made technically correct and by company guidelines.

    The head chocolatier will be in charge of ensuring production moves smoothly which includes product manufacturing, keeping track of inventory, and coordinating production schedules with the Operations Manager.

    * managing a small team of chocolatiers to help meet production goals, stay on task + organize production schedules to maximize order fulfillment
    - cleaning and organizing in the back of the house (kitchen) area
    - coordinating and receiving inventory shipments
    The candidate will have professional kitchen experience and will require a food handler certification. Pastry experience is an asset as well as experience making candy like caramel, sponge toffee, etc.

    Attention to detail and professionalism is a must - we make a wide variety of chocolates and confections and keeping it all in order requires a high aptitude in the kitchen and in organizational thinking.
