- Liaise with bed allocating in regards to admissions, registration
- Processing patient orders through computer
- Arranging meetings and appointments
- Typing/filing of patient reports/letters

- Preparing materials for Health Records
- Preparation and typing of patient program pamphlets, etc.
- Recent Unit Secretary experience in a hospital setting
- Excellent public relations, interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) with a minimum typing speed of 45 w.p.m.
- Previous experience using Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling
- Knowledge of and/or completion of a medical terminology course
- Ability to work in a busy environment where patients are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties
- Previous experience in mental health services will be an asset
- Previous experience organizing therapy group wait lists on excel , booking group orientation sessions and entering group series appointments is an asset
- Demonstrated excellent attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.

The Haudenosaunee (Ho-de-no-shau-nee) and Anishinaabe (Ah-nish-in-ah-beh) have lived, worked and existed on this land from time immemorial. This land is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaty signed with many Mississauga and Chippewa bands.

The successful candidate must be available on weekdays to work 7.5 hour shifts Monday - Friday (7:30-15:30), Evenings (15:30-23:30) and Weekends

Band: CUP C03 - $ $ 29.17 per hour
