    Information Technology Network Specialist - British Columbia, Canada - Impact Recruitment

    Our Vancouver client is a leader in professional services, recently voted as one of Canada's Best Employers. With locations across Canada and internationally, they support a broad range of clients including corporate, government, non-profit and individuals.

    Currently they are seeking an IT Network Specialist to join their growing team While this role will be primarily working remotely, some occasional travel will be required as needed to on-site locations in the Vancouver area.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Developing and delivering data, voice and video systems across Canada-wide offices, data centers and cloud environments
    • Configuring and optimizing cloud networking, firewalls and management groups
    • Transforming the company's networking and security architecture from on-premise to cloud-based
    • Administering and maintaining primary routers, firewalls, BGP network, OSPF network, perimeter safety devices and network monitoring systems
    • Managing DNS, SSL certificates and network trust relationships
    • Administering VPN and multi-factor authentication environment
    • Configuring conditional access policies and risk-based authentication
    • Ensuring network and power redundancy is in place
    • Administering design and maintenance of Wi-Fi components
    • Developing and implementing standard practices and tools to ensure functionality of architecture guidelines and standards
    • Collaborating with MSPs for enterprise and/or local solutions

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 3 years' of professional experience in IT Network Support
    • Strong technical knowledge of network systems and services: LAN/WAN, switches and routing protocols, firewalls, VPN, wireless networks, DNS, DHCP, WAF, safety and monitoring devices and network access security
    • Enterprise Network Architecture in a high availability environment
    • CCNA / CCNP Certifications or equivalent experience
    • Proven experience in the deployment of concepts, computer security systems and high availability networks
    • Experience configuring, managing and monitoring routers, switches, firewall and Wi-Fi
    • Experience implementing disaster recovery plans
    • MSP experience would be advantageous

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • $85,000 - $105,000 per year based on experience
