Girlpower

With our new Saturday meeting we have an opportunity to develop more around the weekly theme than we can do on our regular Monday night meeting.  The club meeting is open to students and alumni of Sheridan College and currently we have several members who are supplementing their regular studies or work life with the leadership program we offer.

This week the theme is GIRLPOWER.  It is a theme that takes into account two focal points this week which include Equal Pay Day and International Womens Day - but the theme is not about a particular day but recognizing that a focus on the feminine is good for our club - because girlpower here is the feminine side of leadership education.  Once we understand that we can take a balanced view of the arguments that are presented regarding issues.  There is no issue in our club, it is about leadership education and girlpower explores the success of Toastmasters club that recognize the feminine aspect of leadership.  The key to which is exploring balance and the reality of what is called the WORK-LIFE balance.
