Happy Halloween

Halloween is upon us, and there will be many lost and old souls wandering the streets this night. It made me think about something I read a while back. I wonder how many of my friends are young or old souls. 

What I read was a definition of an old soul it said, "an old soul is not an old soul by virtue of age, but for their patience, self-measure, and happy tears for no apparent reason".

A young soul is searching for understanding, love and sees the world as a new adventure. They have not learned patience and understanding, but they will.

Young souls seem to react to many of life's situations and predicaments, either with a magnitude of excitement or a feeling of fear and uncertainty. Young souls put a lot of weight onto attachments and seek out material things with enthusiasm. They appear to be unaware of what exists beyond

Younger souls do not know who they are or what they want out of life. They spend most of their life trying to fill that void with either relationships, money or any other distraction they can find. I hold out hope for the young souls because, they will become old souls as soon as they learn the lessons life has to teach.

Happy Halloween to all the young and old souls walking through the moonlight searching for their reward.

Halloween may be more commercial than it was, but it is still fun for young and old alike.
