Physical Intelligence - Day 65

Day 65 Physical
Intelligence
BRONZE LEARNING HIVE

FITNESSInflammation is a subject I have not paid much attention to.  In reviewing a video about anti-inflammatory foods, the good news is that our family's meal options include plenty that help protect us from inflammation.  The bad news is that I have the habit of circumventing this option by choosing fast foods and more to the point, poor snacking choices.

This time last year the big news was the passing of Muhammad Ali and while I recognize his contribution as a human being, I also observed at the time how our media diet is equally unquestioned as the diet that protects us from inflammation.  We have these big events and we absorb a great deal of time occupied by these events, but invariably they pass from our consciousness because the next big event occupies our consciousness.

In the case of Muhammad Ali, the physical intelligence portion was how fighting took a toll on his body and how we now question what the relationship of those physical wars had on the onset of Parkinsons Disease.  One thing that is emerging is that how our bodies repairs itself is worthy of our attention and a part of that internal repair system causes inflammation.  Inflammation however is more than just physical bruises and chronic injury, it can be caused by poor digestion and food choices.

Both modification but also marketing tactics and practices can be harmful. Unfortunately, marking a food as "organic" is being used to sell food based on fears about agro practices. https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevensavage/2016/03/19/why-i-dont-buy-organic-and-why-you-might-want-to-either/#461c75069c35
