Physical Intelligence - Day 68

I have always had a body imbalance whether it was habits of younger days with a head tilt or not understanding proper form and posture now. At least when I was younger it concerned my mom that I lazily walked with my head lopping one way that she would physically slap me on the face to get me to straighten my head. It is the one time in my life that I look back and know she was being cruel to be kind in the right measure, those slaps made me more alert and I learned to keep my head straight.
The greatest injury risk is the one I am most susceptible to, which is poor bio-mechanics or the actual physics in "physical". While my head is in alignment there are many instances of poor posture. While I am far away from being able to perform squats with weights, it is a good thing I do not because as the following video shows, the physical force my knees are subjected would involve the full weight of my present imbalance - the vagus in my knee is open to damage (vagus is mentioned in early knee video's) :
I have yet to immerse myself fully in the Feldenkrais Method which also deals with alignment issues but I have read and seen sufficient material to know why the work of Moshé Feldenkrais represents significant learning on my own pathway of understanding physical intelligence. For now it is the most basic of postures and body form that I do need to become more mindful of.
All of these alignment issues can be spotted by a chiropractor but if prevention is really better than cure, then these lessons need to be learned before a visit to chiropractor or physiotherapist is deemed mandatory. The video above features Jeff Cavaliere who has trademarked his Athlean system, and at a very basic lesson about posture I can see why he is achieving views in the millions and a basic posture video shows me just how much we don't know about physical intelligence, never mind investing in physical intelligence :
The trouble with posture is that by simply watching a video, having a working knowledge of body alignment is absolutely insufficient because all of this is firm practice. Injuries from improper lifting form or even runner injuries have a lot of impacts from posture and form alone. I can trust the information provided by Jeff, because I can physically note the difference in seeing what he has to say. This is one area that I do need to devote study time to, but the problem again is that physical intelligence is not something we consider on our priority list and it is the easiest thing to forget, and in this case I don't have a parent to slap me out of bad form, though of course this is not something I am wishing for. The irony here is that a slap is less damaging then the damage to the body that comes from poor alignment, posture or body form a.k.a. engaging the right form while exercising and not just in everyday walking and movement.
