Physical Intelligence - Day 87

Yesterday I picked up a Cycling Map published by our local municipality and it showed cycling trails around our city.  I have not owned a cycle since I was a kid and I am also not fond of the exercise bikes we have.  Even though we can add an i-Pad to the cycle to provide a digital trail, I am too cognoscente that I am indoors to think of it as actually riding a bike on a virtual path.

The cycling map provided interesting suggestions for trails that I did not know about and that is prompting me to consider purchasing a bike.  The significant part of that consideration is all the safety equipment necessary to engage outdoor riding.  Just looking at the pictures on the Cycling Map tells me the city is actively trying to engage biking as an activity, but despite having cycle lanes, there is significant stretches of the trail that are sharing the road with cars.

The City is also seeking input into their Cycling Master Plan so there is no shortage of resources available in my area for cycling matters and initiatives.  Having read through the material provided by our City, it has sold me on the idea of outdoor biking or cycling on trails. No matter how much I might be sold, my starting point in all endeavors is SAFETY.  So the first thing I can do even before contemplating what I should be purchasing is beginners tips :
