As a Volunteer Book Fair Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and managing our annual book fair event.

You will work closely with volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the success of the book fair, which serves as a key fundraiser for our organization.

This is a volunteer position with flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in promoting literacy and supporting our community.


Responsibilities:

Event Planning: Collaborate with the organizing team to develop a comprehensive plan for the book fair, including setting goals, establishing timelines, and determining logistics.

Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit and coordinate volunteers for various tasks such as setting up booths, assisting attendees, managing book sales, and cleaning up after the event.

Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of books and other merchandise, including tracking sales, restocking shelves, and managing cash transactions. Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting of sales revenue.


Qualifications:


  • Passion for books, literacy, and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in event planning or volunteer coordination is a plus but not required.
