Technical Sales Representative


ViviGro Sustainable Solutions is a leader in eco-friendly, biodegradable, organic and sustainable fertilizers., is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as the Technical Sales Representative.

The primary role of this position is to take advantage of exceptional growth opportunity in the markets we serve, using your strong leadership skills and agronomic experience.

The following key responsibilities are listed below within the scope of the position.


Business Development

  • Work with CEO to develop a business plan, pricing and sales strategy that drives attainment of company sales goals and profitability for the entire company portfolio of products.
  • Cultivate and develop strong relationships with growers in key markets within the Prairies.
  • Promote products that support soil health for a sustainable agronomic future and the safety of the food supply chain
  • Provide product and agronomic advice to growers to help maximize crop yields
  • Identify key influencers and decisionmakers within the customer relationship and develop a plan of action to deepen the relationship with those people.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships to stakeholders and relevant trade organizations to support and grow the business.
  • Responsible for retaining current customers as well as developing and attracting new customers and uncovering new opportunities for additional business
  • Identifies and evaluates trends in market needs to define and develop future strategic business opportunities.
  • Utilize sales technology effectively to track progress, update sales goals and track results.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans that supplement the ongoing sales strategy
  • Participate in trade shows and stay connected to the agricultural industry

Administration

  • Keep up with regular paperwork, analyzing data, and preparing reports and articles
  • Research new technology and new advancements in agriculture and prepare recommendations
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions for both growers and staff

Communications

  • Have a desire to succeed in your career and the ability to represent the company's culture
  • Ability to uphold the company's mission, vision and values
  • Communicate on the phone and in meetings with clients, government departments, colleagues, and experts in the field
  • Communicate with the research community to develop and extend new technologies and practices to producers for their agricultural businesses.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding ofHorticulture Services, farm customers and the agriculture industry
  • Strong understanding of the crop inputs business and the significance of supplier relationships
  • Solid understanding of the Canadian agricultural production and farm management

Qualifications

  • Degree in Agronomy/Horticulture or related discipline
  • P. Ag designation and registered with the BC Institute of Agrologists
  • 5+ years related experience, or equivalent

$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
