JOB TITLE:
Account Executive/Logistics Specialist**
REPORTS TO: Vice President


OVERVIEW OF ROLE:


As an
Account Executive you will uphold corporate policy, procedure, direction and culture while ensuring business development objectives and goals are met.

This must be accomplished by effective written and oral communication, cultivation of relationships both internal and external, and providing leadership, supervision and support.


Responsibilities:


  • Working with the President/Vice President to source sales and business development opportunities with both existing and new customers.
  • Manage assigned existing customer accounts, including projects
  • Provide quotations for various scopes of freight movement.
  • Working with Customer Service Representatives to develop new business and expand on customer relationships.
  • Attend trade shows while representing Keystone Western where required
  • Develop new marketing strategies to enhance business
  • Rely on a sales approach that is both consultative and strategic, and partner directly with customers to determine their needs and to identify opportunities to add additional business
  • Play a key role in helping us to deliver the best quality service to our customers that will put you on the path toward a long and rewarding sales management career with Keystone Western
  • Drive growth by managing and growing a portfolio of existing customers and seeking new business development opportunities
  • Assessing and identifying new revenue growth opportunities in specific markets/regions by working with and developing a portfolio of existing and new customers in North America
  • Achieving and maintaining planned revenue and new business volumes by ensuring new business is solicited on a systematic and planned basis as well as ensuring present customer service levels are maintained and/or enhanced.
  • Manage revenue gains and shortfalls, service issues or concerns, special customer requests, competitive action on pricing and market penetration, and potential business including requirements for additional authority/capital or price considerations.
  • Work closely with the 3PL team to handle overflow freight volumes at acceptable margins
  • Monitor competitive activity and other external factors such as government policy, local market trends, etc. which can impact our business.
  • Maintain a high standard of ethics and integrity in the conduct of business.
