    Smart & Biggar is currently looking for a Translation Manager to join our Operations team.

    As the Translation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all translation activities for both Smart & Biggar and IPH Group.

    Act as the primary point of contact for translation needs within the firm
    Oversee and manage translation projects from initiation to completion for diverse content types
    Collaborate with the IPH corporate communications team on translation projects
    Assess translation needs from different departments and/or practice groups and determine the most effective approach
    Conduct translations where necessary or work with our external translation partners
    Oversee the translation budget, negotiating rates, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
    Follow quality control processes to maintain the accuracy and consistency of translated materials, as well as compliance with Quebec's language laws
    Conduct revisions where necessary or collaborate with internal or external translation partners to align translations with firm's standards
    Develop and maintain a network of external translation partners, assessing and expanding the network as needed
    Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
    7-10+ years of experience in translating within a professional services or legal environment
    Proven track record of successfully managing translation projects
    Proficiency in French and English, with a strong command of legal terminology
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
    Familiarity with translation technologies and tools
    Excellent organizational and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
