    Description

    Job Summary

    The Manual Operator is responsible for ensuring that all secure products that are released from the vault are provided to GDCAEP internal and external customers, by following the GDCAEP current policies and procedures. The Manual Operator is also responsible for helping ensure that GDCAEP meets the service level agreements, by providing material to production in a timely manner.

    Shift

    Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00 am - 3:15 pm

    Responsibilities

  • Provide quick and reliable service for internal and external customers
  • Work in accordance with GDCAEP procedures and policies
  • Perform all data entry duties
  • Escalate any business or safety concerns to the Senior Operator or Supervisor
  • Adhere to all GDCAEP corporate security policies and procedures
  • Perform out-going quality inspections/audit requirements of secure material
  • Move skids/material from department to department
  • Load and stockpile material onto shelves or skids
  • Perform inventory audits/cycle counts as per GDCAEP's current policies and procedures
  • Perform material destruction/shredding of secure products as per GDCAEP policies and procedures
  • Perform daily/monthly equipment calibrations
  • Keep vault area and workstations clean – general housekeeping
  • Provide suggestions to the Supervisor for process improvement opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Operator/Supervisor that may not be listed above
  • Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager. Management will ensure employees are provided with job-specific Environmental, Health, & Safety information and training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.

    • Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements:

    Work Experience:

  • 1 year equivalent work experience in a high security company
  • SAP experience would be an asset

    • Skills and Competencies:

  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize with good attention to detail

    • Education:

  • Completion of High School preferred

    • Working Conditions

  • Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Safety shoes and smock required on the production floor
  • Able to work overtime as required

    • Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for a long periods of time
