Position:


Red River Co-op is recruiting for the TERM position of Accounting Clerk at our Head Office, located at 10 Prairie Way in Winnipeg, MB.

This is a term position ending on approximately September 30, 2023.

Essential responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk include but are not limited to the following:

  • Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
  • Reconcile daily sales transactions and sales reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate coding.
  • Maintain and update various excel reports.
  • Review daily petroleum reports to ensure it is in accordance with Company policy and guidelines.
  • Matching and analyzing inventory purchases to vendor invoices, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
  • Assist with special projects related to continuous improvement and process improvements to the organization for further efficiency growth.
  • Assist with other accounting and administration departments and duties as needed or required.

About You:

Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge would be considered an asset.

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines.

You possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).

You are proactive, forward-thinking individual who has the ability to multi task and has excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

You must be able to build and maintain relationships and have the ability to work as part of a team, or independently.

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
