- Work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst to contribute to the quarterly project budget review cycle for a multi-family high-rise project portfolio
- Determine KPIs, project margins and returns using a best-in-class pro forma model to provide decision support to operational teams in Construction, Development, Sales & Marketing
- Prepare budget review templates, consolidate inputs, and upload budgets in the ERP system (Oracle's JD Edwards)
- Conduct quarter-over-quarter budget variance analysis and compile project risks and opportunities
- Support reporting for Joint Venture projects with an external partnerincluding review of legal agreements and financial statements, and preparation of reporting packages
- Set up and maintain infrastructure in JD Edwards for newly launched communities
- Foster and develop strategic business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders
- Work with Senior Financial Analyst and coordinate the preparation of journal entries including statistics for month-end
- Perform monthly detailed analyses of contributions margin and investigations on financial performance; identify the cause behind discrepancies of expected results
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis requested by Departments, Corporate Office, etc.
- Find opportunities for process improvement in the month-end, forecast, and budget and help implement and execute changes
- University Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Completed or working towards CPA designation (Mattamy Homes is an accredited employer by CPA Canada)
- Experience with accounting software packages and ability to quickly learn new software packages.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills including regular use of functions, pivot tables, etc.
- Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated individual who learns quickly, is highly organized and detail orientedto get results
- Ability to establish credibility and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and personal integrity
- Residential, High Rise, ICI (Industrial / Commercial / Institutional), REIT or Asset Management experience
- JD Edwards, Procore, ReportsNow, or Essbase software experience
- Experience with PowerBI or Tableau
- Certificate in Business Analytics, PMP, or Six Sigma

What we offer
Mattamy is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team for an exciting opportunity to have a career with an industry leader. Through this experience, the individual will be exposed to a wide range of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting responsibilities. This includes assisting with month-end close at the division level, quarterly project budget review cycle to support key decision making and leading financial strategy at the project level.
