    As of March 2022 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other 3 days in the office

    The role of a Financial Analyst – eCommerce poses the unique opportunity to play an important role in the growth of Loblaw Digital, a rapidly growing growth area for Loblaw. In this role you will analyze and report on the full P&L for five digital businesses from Sales to EBIT. The successful candidate will play a critical role with the monthly business rhythm and performance reporting to Senior Leadership. The role is located at the downtown Toronto office.

  • Assist with the financial reporting and forecasting function for the Loblaw Digital businesses.
  • Perform weekly reporting for Sr. Leadership, with responsibilities including consolidating results, developing analysis and commentary for each business. Review data for accuracy to financial reporting and identify + provide explanations for anomalies.
  • Perform period actual reporting, with responsibilities including preparing data for periodic financial reporting. Identifying trends while providing periodic, quarterly and full year analysis and commentary
  • Support for ad-hoc business analysis as needed (including P&L and profitability analysis)
  • Develop and implement process improvements for the Loblaw Digital business.
  • Perform process reviews to identify inefficiencies and develop and implement solutions
  • Support business controls by creating documentation of financial processes and forming a knowledge repository

    • What You'll Need:

  • Working towards bachelor's in accounting, finance, business, math, economics, project management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to think outside the box
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, ideal candidate will also have exposure / competency using analytics tools such as SQL, R or Tableau
