Pt Residential Case Worker - London, Canada - St. Leonards Community Services

SLCS is currently seeking 2 Part Time Residential Case Workers at MLA Centre.As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, crisis intervention, discharge planning and support services as needed.
You will be expected to assess clients' skills and needs, particularly in regard to their mental health and addiction related issues, in addition to advocacy for and with clients involved in the criminal justice system.
This role will also focus on establishing and building client relationships in the case management process. You will liaise with other services i.e. Probation/Parole officers, clinical support, courts to coordinate care for clients, etc.
In addition to these elements of the position, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the clients and other staff during your shift.
You are able, and comfortable, to de-escalate in crisis situations, and have some experience with the unpredictable nature of working with individuals with mental health and addictions.
You will also be able to work collaboratively with other team members to complete administrative functions.You will be skilled at working with clients from diverse populations; contributing to program development. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all the applicable and regulatory requirements. This position is primarily located at MLA Centre.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree or 23 year College Diploma or working towards your degree
- Standard First Aid + CPR
- Level C
- Valid G class Driver's License
- Proof of 2nd shot of COVID19 Vaccine
