Ft Program Assistant - London, Canada - St. Leonards Community Services

SLCS is currently seeking a full-time Program Assistant for Project Home, a Housing First Program.As a member of this interdisciplinary team, you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the program and physical location.
This role provides direct support to the Program Manager and Team Leads to maintain an efficient, organized, communicative work environment.
This role is responsible for a number of administrative related tasks, such as tracking of assets, preparing reports, maintaining filing systems, ordering program supplies, tracking and reconciliation of petty cash, documenting meeting minutes and liaising with suppliers, security company and external community organizations.
This role will be integral in the organization, flow and tracking of housing subsidies which includes data entry tasks using Excel and within the information system, HIFIS.
As a member of this team, you will also be able to research and develop proposals, review and maintain supply inventory while liaising with the Executive Assistant and Finance Assistant to coordinate tasks as assigned.
This role would also include light reception type duties, supporting visitors when they arrive, and organizing, tracking and distribution of on and off boarding of employees.
This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, strong computer skills including technical problem solving and Microsoft Office knowledge as well as the ability to be flexible while remaining professional at all times.
As an SLCS employee, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the work place and your co-workers during your employment.
This position would primarily be located at 340 Saskatoon Street, but would require travel in and around the London area as required.
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in Administration or related field
- 12 years' relevant work experience
- Standard First Aid/CPR with AED
- Level C
- Valid Driver's License (G) and access to a reliable vehicle
- Excellent Computer Skills including Microsoft Office Suite
