We are currently looking for six (6) permanent Outage Dispatchers (Shift) to join our T&D Operations team.


Accountabilities:


  • To monitor and dispatch field crews for trouble work based on company dispatch guidelines.
  • Dispatch trouble call / complete incident in ADMS (ensure efficient response to trouble and outage events through optimal utilization of resources, ensuring public and employee safety is considered at all times).
  • To evaluate the priority of the trouble calls and coordinate crews efficiently in accordance with dispatch guidelines.
  • When possible, verify the accuracy of trouble calls using available tools to ensure work resources are used in the most efficient manner possible.
  • To inform and coordinate with respective stakeholders (schedulers, supervisors, etc.) on changes that fall outside forecasted trouble events and durations.
  • Update and maintain ETRs for trouble calls in ADMS.
  • Responsible for resource data management (i.e., integrity on crew compliment, contact information and vehicle information in operational software including ADMS, GE APM (Control Centre Apps) and TurboNet (mobile radio)).
  • Monitoring and tracking for the lone worker process (mobile radios).
  • Will be responsible for dispatch of internal and external crews during storm response in coordination with the field crew leads.
  • Storm outage dispatch training requirements for those supporting storm response (ADMS, base training and refresher training throughout the year).
  • Potential to dispatch emergency inspector work (day/night).
  • Responsible for the automated callout and modeling process for planned outages.

  • You are a team player with a strong customer service ethic, and you possess excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations.
  • You have and are able to demonstrate strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a continuously changing environment.
  • The incumbent will also have and is able to demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of MS Office, experience with computerized planning software. Demonstrated knowledge of Maximo, ADMS, CIS and Service Hub or equivalent experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with T&D Operations and dispatch is considered an asset.

Salary:
$32.87 per hour, as per Collective Agreement I.B.E.W Local 1928
